

Dr Eleanor S Armstrong (she/her), University of Leicester
Eleanor S Armstrong (Ellie) is a social scientist of outer space with a focus on feminisms, femininities, and femmes. She is interested in informal education about outer space and the changing narratives between “official” and “unofficial” grass-roots actors. Her research has included science museums, space camps, analogue environments, zines, and space dolls. She has previously been co-chair of Science London; and leads LGBTQ+ museum tours and runs zine workshops. Ellie currently works at the University of Leicester (UK), and she has previously worked at the Stockholm University (Sweden) and at University of Delaware (USA). Ellie currently sits on the UKRI’s STFC Advisory Panel for Public Engagement and EGU’s Outreach Committee.

Dr. Divya M. Persaud (she/her)
Divya M. Persaud is a planetary scientist, artist, speaker, and consultant. Divya’s research has spanned from mission development to planetary geology, with a sustained interest in how we construct and use images through both a scientific lens and a materialist lens. Passionate about bridging the spheres and models of the natural and social sciences, she has spoken and worked internationally on topics concerning space science, social justice, the arts, and accessibility. Divya is Communications Lead for the Ethics and Human Rights at SGAC, an affiliate of the UCL IAS Centre for Outer Space Studies, and a member of the UCL/Birkbeck Centre for Planetary Sciences.
