Requirements
All codes must be written during HackFest.
You will have 1 minute to demo what you've built. Judges decisions are final.
In order to ensure all code is written or implemented throughout the weekend, and not prepared beforehand, it is required that each team works within a git repository such as github or bitbucket.
A free private repository (preventing other teams from viewing your project) can be created at https://bitbucket.org/.
- Sign up for your chosen git platform (if not already registered)
- Invite hackfest@majoran.co to your repository
- Invite your teammates!
- Code!
Recommended version control procedure
The following is a guideline to follow throughout the weekends to ensure both fair play and the protection of your code in case of an error. As a general rule, every time you add a piece of functionality to your code, whether it be a function, a new UI module, etc you should commit.
When you commit your code, write in the commit notes what it is you are doing. This enable the moderators to see that you’re playing fair, as well as allowing you to see what each commit is should you need to fork or revert to an earlier revision.
