SousChef

SousChef is more than a recipe organizer - it's an assistant capable of guiding you along a recipe from start to finish, helping you make any dish.

Its cooking mode (the name of the digital assistant) is designed to be run on fullscreen, and will display the instructions that you need to follow one by one. Ingredients are listed on the top part of the screen, with the controls on the bottom.

You can control the assistant using AppleRemote or your own voice. SousChef can also read the directions to you out loud (English only).

Some other interesting features include: finding recipes by the ingredients that you already have at home and discovering what ingredients you can substitute for others.

The full version of SousChef also gives you access to an online database containing more than 75,000 recipes.
