Hello and Welcome to sortinghat_rpg the RPG community for sorting__hat This RPG is set in the Trio's seventh year (do-over of the year they missed!). There is a limited backstory you have to follow. Just create your own using your characters. For more information, rules, and a list of available characters, see below.

Plot

Voldemort is dead. The war has finally been set to rest by Harry Potter, the Saviour of the Wizarding world. Throughout the summer the survivors mourned the dead, remembered their loved ones and gave their bodies, hearts, and minds a chance to recover from what had truly been a gruelling time. Things are just beginning to return to normal for everyone else, helping to recover and rebuild and start a new life without the Dark Mark looming over them like a huge storm cloud.

As for Harry, Ron and Hermione, things perhaps can never be normal for them again. Headmistress McGonagall has allowed the Slytherins to return to Hogwarts, including Draco Malfoy, to re-take the classes they missed and earn their NEWTs. Neville Longbottom has finally earned the respect of his peers for his actions on the battlefield, and as their final year at Hogwarts begins, anything is possible.

1. You must have read the Harry Potter series. That's pretty obvious.
2. Do not TyP LiK dIs. Use proper spelling and grammar. It's very appreciated.
3. You must be sorted in the community sorting__hat This community was made strictly for its members, so you must go and join there before you can play here.
4. Respect all other members at all times.
5. Know how to post.
6. Only 1-2 characters per person. Any player wishing to take on a third character should contact the Headmistress to get her permission.
7. You MUST create a character journal, and have a believable PB.
8. Every person will be required to post or participate in an RP at least once every week, but we encourage that you do it whenever you get the chance. A probation list will be regularly updated.
9. Since the sorting community is open to anyone 13 or older, we want to uphold a rating that will protect our younger members. Therefore, nothing above PG-13 unless it is clearly rated and under a cut. Also, keep the profanity to a minimum. You can have fun without going over the line.
10. No Power Playing. That is, you can't go off and kill everyone. Your player can't be invincible. You must play them as if they are real people, with real feelings, which is kind of the point of the game.
