Mrr. Now that I have a fandom again, I can't seem to find active communities for it. Can anyone direct me to some Sherlock (BBC) communities, or better, Sherlock/Lestrade?

Heh. I was about to say that they were another version of Snape/Lupin, but that would be Sherlock/John. :P

On one hand, I may have a new fandom. OTOH, I'm not sure I can see Sherlock in a romantic relationship -- he's just too...uninterested in any of that. I read some of the original stories after starting the BBC series, and the explanation about not allowing anything that would dull the lens (or whatever the exact wording was) -- it makes too much sense for me to see Sherlock paired with anyone. ...and it seems that tags have gone away? I wonder how I can find any of my old stories, other than scrolling through my journal. I woke up with a weird desire to read "Sweet Tea and Cornbread" because I couldn't remember what happens to Harry and Draco after their initial meeting in the bar. So I guess I'm off to scroll.

...and I need a record of important stuff that I'm getting rid of. I've had the bottle of Snape's Non-Greasy Hair Elixir in the bathroom since, well, at least since the second and last con I went to, in New Orleans in 2007. Possibly even longer. The label is all messed up due to bathroom humidity, so it's time to say goodbye. I'll use up the contents and toss the bottle. See? I'm not a hoarder! I can get rid of things!

Thought I posted this, but lj must have eaten it just before it went down. Anyhoo, here's my blog post with the cover art for "Cross Bones", an anthology of pirate stories that will be released in August, on the 15th, I think.

My story was a bit of a rush job because I'm lazy and I procrastinate and I suck (not in the good way), and I found SO many mistakes on the frickin' galley proof, mistakes in the plot/characterization, for example, that I didn't catch until that last minute. Which makes me wonder how many more there were....But it was a good challenge, a learning experience, $55 of writing income, and another "credential". Now I have two! *smh*
