So, All Night Laundry (see previous post) is sort of partially-interactive fiction. The author plans out a rough outline at least a little bit in advance, but the characters also respond to reader commentary and sometimes do what the readers suggest. At the start of the comic, the author was putting in links that let you skip from update to update, jumping over all the reader comments that are also in the thread.

I’ve gotten to a point in the comic where the author stopped adding those links, and I am unjustifiably annoyed at some of the readers considering that I could just scroll past faster and not read their comments.

I tried to make this spoiler-unspecific but it is kind of a hint about some things that happen later.

Stop trying to put a jump-scare around every corner even when it doesn’t make sense, readers. And some of you are being way too leading. You can say “why don’t you go do A?” to the characters, you can’t say “you feel xyz and then you do A.”

Also stop trying to guess that the new scary thing is some random thing you’ve heard of, when the characters have clearly explained already what they are and what they look like. Those papers she found earlier literally described them in medical detail, with diagrams! “It looks like this. It looks like that. That part looks like a tongue. It looks like the thing from earlier. There must be a supernatural force here that just doesn’t understand legs.” The papers described exactly what it is, also no it doesn’t look like the thing from earlier and we already know why the thing from earlier couldn’t walk. There was a sad flashback and everything. It’s not related. Come on.
