What’s the difference between a general contractor and a builder?
A builder is usually focused on new construction. As a general contractor, we typically manage renovations and remodels — projects where multiple trades need to be coordinated, and the work has to fit an existing home.
Our job primarily is to plan the build properly, manage the trades, and keep everything aligned with code, permits, and inspections.
What does a general contractor do in a renovation project?
General contractors typically run the project end-to-end. That means we help you define the scope, plan the work, coordinate the right trades, schedule each step in the right order, and oversee quality on site.
Our goal is always to keep the renovation moving smoothly and make sure the finished work meets BC building code and local requirements.
