Sólidos RA is an Android app designed to teach geometry through interactive augmented reality. It enables you to visualize and manipulate geometric solids by scanning QR codes using your smartphone or tablet. The app provides access to printable QR code support materials, allowing you to expand the learning experience.

Comprehensive Geometry Modules

The app offers five distinct modules: Visualization, Nets, Creation, Modeling, and Geoboard. The Visualization module includes a collection of 42 geometric solids that can be interacted with in various ways, such as toggling edges and vertices, or altering transparency. Features like the ability to rotate, scale, and adjust object height enhance your exploration of these solids. The Nets module provides six geometric solids with detailed flat-pattern animations, offering deeper insight into geometric structures.

Creative Opportunities for Learning

Sólidos RA promotes creativity through its Creation and Modeling modules. The Creation module lets you build augmented reality scenes using basic geometric shapes such as cubes, spheres, and cones. You can transform these elements with translation, rotation, and scaling tools to craft unique designs. Meanwhile, the Modeling module allows you to create complex geometric structures, from polygons and circles to prisms and pyramids, using QR codes to enhance learning.

Practical Tools for Geometry Education

The Geoboard module complements the experience by offering a virtual tool to add and manipulate lines and both two-dimensional and three-dimensional figures.
