Eligibility
Ages 18+
Teams consisting of 1-4 members.
Open to all skill levels.
All team members must be officially registered for SolHacks.
Code of Conduct
All participants must follow the MLH Code of Conduct.
Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Be respectful of others, whether online or in person.
If you experience or witness misconduct, please report it to the organizing team.
Venue and Logistics
Sleeping areas will be designated. Please respect others' space.
Keep all areas clean and follow venue rules.
Mentorship and Help
Mentors will be available throughout the event. Feel free to ask for help.
Teams are encouraged to collaborate and learn, but copying another team's work is not allowed.
Project and Submission Requirements
All work must be done during SolHacks; pre-existing projects cannot be submitted.
Participants can use publicly available libraries, APIs, and frameworks, but all significant code must be written during SolHacks.
AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) are allowed for assistance, but cannot generate entire projects.
AI-generated content must be properly cited.
All projects must be safe, legal, and ethical (no offensive or discriminatory content).
All projects must be submitted via Devpost by March 29th, 11 AM (late submissions may not be considered). Each submission should include:
- A brief project description
- A 2-minute demo video
- A link to the source code (if applicable)
Judging
Overall criteria include innovation, technical complexity, impact, design, functionality, and presentation.
Judging criteria differ based on track.
Judges' decisions are final.
Prizes
Prizes are awarded at the closing ceremony.
Teams must be present to receive them.
