About the challenge
SolHacks is a 24-hour Latino-oriented hackathon dedicated to fostering innovation, representation, and community empowerment through technology. Our goal is to provide a welcoming space for students of all backgrounds to build impactful projects, network with industry professionals, and learn from hands-on workshops.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced hacker, SolHacks is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself, collaborate, and create something amazing!

Teams should design their projects based on the track they are looking to submit to. Examples of projects for each track include:
Beginner:
- Personal finance tracker

What to Submit
Project Description: A clear overview of the project, its purpose, how it works, and its track.
Code Repository: A link to the GitHub or other code hosting platform with clear instructions on setting up and running the project.
Demo Video: A 2-minute video explaining the project.
- Introduction (0:00 - 0:30) — Briefly introduce the team members, the project name, and the problem it solves.
- Demonstration (0:30 - 1:30) — Show the main features of the project in action. Focus on user experience and core functionalities.
- Technology Overview (1:30 - 1:45) — Briefly explain the technologies and tools used.
- Conclusion (1:45 - 2:00) — Summarize the impact of the project and mention any future plans or improvements.
