WHO IS bōndia FOR?
The short answer: women* over 35—and nearly everyone.
Bone loss starts in our 30s and often goes unnoticed until decades later when osteopenia (low bone mass) or worse may have already set in.
In gold-standard clinical trials, Bōndia significantly reduced bone loss in women with osteopenia, elevated BMI, and higher body fat composition—three of the groups most at risk for fragility fractures. Odds are you’re already in or approaching one of them. Even if you’re not, the gut health boost alone makes Bōndia a beneficial addition to your wellness routine.
BMI isn’t the full picture of our health. We can look “healthy” on the outside while carrying higher body fat or lower bone density beneath the surface. It’s nothing to be ashamed of—our bodies ebb and flow for all sorts of reasons and seasons.
Women are hit hardest by bone loss, so that’s where we began. The only reason we can’t yet claim Bōndia protects men’s bones is simple: they haven’t been part of our trials—yet.
*We recognize the full spectrum of gender identity. In this clinical context, “women” includes cis women and most people assigned female at birth, whose biology places them at higher risk for bone loss.
BONE + GUT BENEFITS
In gold-standard clinical food trials*—a level of rigor rarely seen (and never required) in supplements—Bōndia dramatically reduced bone loss in women with osteopenia, elevated BMI (≥30), or higher body fat composition (≥40%).
Beyond these randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, breakthrough bone density results, Bōndia also supported digestive gut health. Women in the study experienced the strongest improvements in severe nausea, constipation, gas, and bloating, with these gut symptoms reduced by 78.9%.
*Bōndia is more than a dietary supplement—it’s a medical food, held to higher FDA safety and efficacy standards, yet accessible without a prescription or artificially inflated pharmaceutical pricing.

Bōndia Gets to Work Instantly
Within days, Bōndia's good bacteria begin calming the inflammation that contributes to bone loss. Your body absorbs algae-derived Vitamin D3, while Bōndia's synergistic microbes naturally produce vitamin K2—a perfect pair that helps your bones retain calcium.
MONTHS 1-4
At the cellular level, your osteoclasts (cells that break down old bone) and osteoblasts (cells that build new bone) start to rebalance. Mild bloating or gas is normal in the first few days—usually fading quickly as your gut microbiome finds renewed equilibrium.
MONTHS 5-9
Bone Degradation Slows
Clinical studies show measurable gains in bone density during this phase. Many also notice fewer GI issues, as Bondia has been shown to reduce severe GI events over time.
MONTHS 10-12+
Your Bones + Gut Are More Resilient
To maintain this progress, it’s important to keep taking Bondia. Bone health is a lifelong journey—ongoing support helps keep your skeleton strong for years to come.
Bōndia is a plant-sourced medical food packed in capsule form to deliver the probiotic potency of 3.5 tons of squash and 1.2 pounds of fermented pepper paste—fueled by the prebiotic goodness of a handful of blueberries and a touch of chicory root.
Leuconostoc mesenteroides SBS04255 and Levilactobacillus brevis SBS04254 are squash-derived probiotics that support gut integrity and immune balance to help reduce inflammation and promote bone health.
Algae-derived Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) is an important ingredient that is recognized for its role in reducing inflammation and its superior bioavailability compared to Vitamin D2.

WHAT INGREDIENTS IS BŌNDIA FORMULATED WITH?
Bōndia is made with only 8 natural, plant-derived ingredients carefully formulated to support your bone health:
4 Proprietary Probiotic Strains:
Lactiplantibacillus plantarum SBS04260
Levilactobacillus brevis SBS04254
Leuconostoc mesenteroides SBS04255
Pichia kudriavzevii SBS04263
2 Prebiotic Fibers:
Powdered Organic Blueberry
Oligofructose
Vitamins:
Vitamin D3 (Algae-derived)
Vegan Capsule: A plant-based capsule to ensure the product is suitable for all diets.
These ingredients work synergistically to promote bone health, improve bone density, and help slow the breakdown of bone. With Bōndia, you’re getting a formula that’s not only proven effective in a clinical trial but also natural and plant-based.
HOW OFTEN DO I TAKE BŌNDIA?
Bōndia was shown to be effective when taken twice daily. This allows the probiotics to remain active in your system throughout the day, ensuring optimal interaction with your bone health and aligning with the regimen followed in Bōndia's trials. To help maintain this consistency, we recommend setting a reminder to take your Bōndia each day. To help you get the most out of your routine, here’s a quick tip for getting started:
Week 1: Take 1 capsule with breakfast and 1 capsule with dinner.
Week 2 and beyond: Take 2 capsules with breakfast and 2 capsules with dinner.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I STOP TAKING BŌNDIA?
Bōndia’s benefits come from consistent, daily use. Its synbiotic formula works through the gut-bone axis: the plant-derived microbes help reduce inflammation, support a healthy gut barrier, and reduce the activity of bone-breaking cells (osteoclasts), helping maintain stronger bones over time. If you stop taking Bōndia, your body will not continue receiving that targeted support. Over time, the protective effect against bone loss will likely diminish and your bone-health support will revert to what your baseline diet and lifestyle provide. Since Bōndia is a medical food — not a drug — and designed for long-term nutritional management, it's normal and expected to lose the added support once you stop. Therefore, we recommend continuing taking Bondia to manage your bone health needs.
HOW DOES BŌNDIA WORK?
Bōndia is based on research into the gut–bone axis: how specific gut microbes and their metabolites can influence mineral absorption, bone turnover, and inflammation.
How it works: Bōndia's revolutionary synbiotic formulation helps slow the bone-degrading activity of osteoclasts, supporting a healthier balance between bone breakdown and renewal.
IS IT EXCLUSIVELY FOR WOMEN?
Bōndia is safe to consume by both men and women.
Everyone experiences bone loss as they age, and Bōndia works through the gut-bone axis—a biological pathway that exists in all adults, regardless of gender. We focused our clinical trials on women because they're hit hardest by bone loss and often underserved in medical research, but the science isn't gender-specific. It is safe for men and women to consume Bōndia to support their bone health.
IS BŌNDIA SAFE TO TAKE DURING PREGNANCY OR WHILE BREASTFEEDING?
Bōndia has not been tested in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. However, there is currently no evidence suggesting risks associated with taking probiotics during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
We strongly recommend that you consult with your healthcare provider or obstetrician before starting any new supplement or medical food during these periods to ensure that it aligns with your individual health needs.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF BŌNDIA?
Bōndia is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) and has been shown to be well tolerated in clinical trials, with no difference in side effects between placebo and Bōndia treatment groups indicating that it is safe and well tolerated.
A small percentage of users may experience mild, temporary digestive symptoms, such as increased gas, bloating, or occasional constipation, especially during the first few days. These effects are usually short-lived and often related to your body adjusting to the probiotics in the formula.
Factors like your diet and any pre-existing digestive sensitivities may play a role. If symptoms persist or you feel uncomfortable, we recommend checking in with your healthcare provider to ensure Bōndia is the right fit for you.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Slowing the process of bone loss takes time. In our 12-month, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, trial which was published in Osteoporosis International, Bōndia demonstrated a statistically significant reduction (85% less femoral neck) in bone density loss, in women with osteopenia, and also showed particularly strong results in women with elevated BMI (≥30), or higher body fat composition (≥40%).
That said, some people notice other benefits sooner. Because Bōndia works through the gut–bone axis, digestive comfort may improve earlier. In our clinical trial, symptoms such as nausea, constipation, gas, and bloating were reduced by nearly 79%. These anti-inflammatory benefits with respect to bone loss may be noticeable within days to weeks, while bone-supportive effects build steadily over time with continued use.
IS BŌNDIA FDA APPROVED?
Bōndi is not FDA-approved in the same way prescription drugs are. It meets FDA requirements for a medical food, specifically formulated for the dietary management of bone loss related to menopause, aging, and weight.
As a medical food, Bōndia falls under FDA regulation, meaning it must meet strict standards for safety, labeling, and manufacturing. It’s produced in FDA-compliant facilities, and all ingredients are generally recognized as safe (GRAS).
Clinical testing is required for medical foods and Bōndia has undergone rigorous studies using standards similar to those used in pharmaceutical research.
HOW CAN BŌNDIA HELP WITH OSTEOPOROSIS?
Bōndia is a medical food specifically formulated for the nutritional management of osteopenia, the stage of bone loss that precedes osteoporosis.
In a 12-month, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial of 286 postmenopausal women, Bōndia dramatically reduced bone loss in women with osteopenia, elevated BMI (≥30), or higher body fat composition (≥40%). The results were published in Osteoporosis International. While Bōndia has not yet been studied specifically in people with osteoporosis, clinical research in this population is currently underway.
Bōndia is not a replacement for medications used to treat advanced osteoporosis, but it may be used as part of a comprehensive approach to bone health. If you have osteoporosis or are currently receiving medical treatment for bone loss, we recommend discussing Bōndia with your healthcare provider to determine whether it’s appropriate for your care plan.
