Went supermarket shopping recently. And was super happy to found another source of cheap protein: Basa Fillets. It was selling for AUD$4.99 for 1kg. So based on the average estimated nutritional value of basa fillets, that is about AUD$0.22 per gram of protein. That is relatively cheap for a (meat) natural source of protein.

My dearest wife then turned it into a delicious meal, with potatoes. It was Fantastic.

Some other advantages of Basa Fillets
1) High in Protein – Mentioned it above.
2) High in Fats – Yes FATS are good (not all fats though). Basa Fillets are high in Omega-3 Fatty Acids
3) Low in Calories – For those of you interested in controlling this.
4) Low in Carbohydrates – For those Paleo nuts (I have no issues with the theory, rather the concept that they are really following what the paleolithic man was eating)
