The Serial Killer Sergal

His true name isn't known, but the news has been dubbing him The Raven, due to the scraps of poetry he carves onto the walls, and the single black raven's feather he leaves at each crime scene.
Judging by forensic evidence, he is roughly five foot eight inches in height, fit, and extremely intelligent. He leaves behind mocking clues, daring law enforcement to try and piece together The Raven into a mortal being.
Recently, his kills have been more frequent, some of them sloppier than his usual surgical precision, yet too alike to his MO for it to simply be a copycat preying on the fear of the people.
Neither heads nor tails can be made of this, there are two schools of thought. One, The Raven is getting lazy, self-confident, but this camp is very small, as any intelligent persons interested in the case sees that he isn't the kind of person to get lazy with his bladework. The other, more chilling... He has an apprentice, training someone to carry on his work.
In public, when he isn't wearing the mantle of The Raven, he is Ashton Michael O'Rourke, a corpse cutter in the county coroner's office that serves the New England city where he lives.
((And yes, he resides in the world of my stories. With trips to the Sofurry world through the rampant temporal inconsistancies of his world.))
