Welcome to my little corner of the internet. Here things can be odd, silly, even fun. Having lurked around this site for quite some time, even poking my head out to make a post or two. My name's Klandiro and here's a bit about me.
Writing:
I really started to toy with the idea of writing since I was in Junior High School. The idea of creating one's own world and telling the stories within sounded so neat. I'd made maps, written little tales, but never did a whole lot beyond that for a while.
It wouldn't be till senior year of high school and my literature teacher was talking about this thing called NaNoWriMo that really got me to try writing. I tried, and succeeded. I wrote something, it was rough, extremely rough. But i had done it, and it was the most satisfying thing I'd done and had a lot of fun doing it, thus started that spiral into writing.
More recently, there have been a number of things that have gotten in my way of writing. The overall state of the world, finances, and an overall overly critical mind kinda pushed me away from this thing I've enjoyed for so long. Story ideas, worlds, even a D&D campaign sat unfinished for quite a few years. 2023 some of that motivation has returned and I'm getting some things written, slowly easing back into writing, but excited to get back into this thing that was so important to me for so long. A bit of pushing from myself to not let me overthink every little thing in my creative pursuits has been helping, but is still needing to be more prevalent.
Hobbies:
Writing is far from the only thing I busy myself with.
Having a degree in graphic design, I do work on occasional design projects, but mostly find myself bringing out my DSLR and doing some photography. Small fursuit photoshoots with friends has always been one of my favorite things to do, but I do occasionally find a nice bit of scenery to take pictures of.
The thing that probably takes up a majority of my time outside of work is gaming. Thus can be broken into two groups, tabletop and video games. I'm a huge fan of both!
Getting to sit down with a group of friends, play some board games or an ttrpg of some sort in person or digitally is such a blast. Whether it's a simple little party game, Magic: the Gathering, a much longer strategy game or even Dungeons and Dragons I've grown to greatly appreciate those game days. Especially now that I've wet my feet in the DM pool, it's helped get my writing back started.
Video games have turned into so much more than just a way to relax after a stressful day at work, which I still do. Now I also stream over on Twitch. That has grown to be probably my favorite hobby as of late. Growing a small community, getting to chat with people as I play games "Sometimes even well", has been a wonderful way for me to enjoy something, but not just recluse alone while doing it. We've also started doing charity streams which have become highlights of my years.
Thank you!
Thank you for popping into my little corner to read these ramblings, a story of mine, or even just say Hello! It truly does mean a lot!
