Where to begin?
How about the bird himself, then we'll clarify on that species hmm?
Name: Kehzrick Darkfeather
Species: Zahrick type gryphal
Body type: Feral, there's no such thing as an anthro gryphal.
Height: Eight feet four inches, or around 2.54 meters
Weight: some where around 3500 pounds
Physique: he is well built, very strong and fit with his profession as a soldier with the Titanian military.
Color: His coat is a nice glossy black, his forelimbs and beak are a deep charcoal gray that is nearly black as well, his talons are also black.
Eyes: rusty red, almost like two pools of drying blood
Gryphal features: Gryphal look like feral gryphons, with a few features that are different to specify them to a certain role. They all share a serrated edged beak, the rusty red eyes, and serrated talons that are not the rounded type that are just pointy on the ends. Their talons are hooked like normal but shaped much like a blade with a cutting edge on the serrated inside of that hook. Along his sides, just under where the leading edge of his wings rest when folded, are spots of ivory that show through his feathers, marking the boney plates of natural armor beneath his skin.
Personality: Kehzrick is very shy and somewhat timid in social situations, opting to watch others enjoy life instead of engaging in them. He is wary of strangers, since most people back on his home world regard him as a monster and with great prejudice for his species. The very kind and gentle hearted hulk would never harm an innocent person, not even to defend himself, believing himself to be nothing more than a monster after being called one for so many years. He tries hard to make up for being born as he was, trying to be as kind and helpful as possible, when asked, to make amends for the terrible crimes of the older breeds of his species. Kehzrick is also more than willing to defend those who need his strength, valuing his life less than that of any other living being that is not harming others. He can be hard on himself, not believing he is a wonderful person, or that he deserves the warm attentions of a passing lover or adoring mate.
Occupation: Kehzrick is a specialized soldier in the Titanian military, utilizing his size and natural strength as a Seigebreaker. His very function is to break enemy lines and stop the toughest advances against his own forces. He wears rather heavy steel plate armor, turning him into a virtual living tank and serving as a juggernaut on the field. His naturally armored body helps add additional protection that allows him to shuck off heavy blows from some war machines that would injure his fellow gryphon seigebreakers.

About mateship: Kehzrick is mated to Luna Kitsukane, he is and always will be her gryphal. She has asked that he be protective of her and his place at her side.
What are gryphal?: Gryphal are a species that were created by a powerful mage who wanted to make an 'improved' version of his gryphons to help him conquer the last nation of his world. The males were to be savage killing machines, while the females were to be breeding stock. Problems occurred early on with subtle interference causing sterility in the males. That combined with their natural aggression causing them to kill their mates while early attempts at breeding took place, in the very act of breeding. sexual desire was removed and replaced with a rewarding sensation for causing pain and death to any living victim. Many worlds share horrific stories of the gryphal and the nightmarish waves of death and destruction they brought about in their wake.
Zahrick breed: Fortunately most the breeds of male gryphal died out with their master. The females exiled themselves so as not to be reachable by the blanketing spell that caused them to produce male gryphal off spring with male gryphon mates. Only one breed survived, one created by accident. Zahrick was the first of the breed, and thus who it was named for. there was an extremely tiny window in the timing of the blanketing spell in which hybridization could occur, causing a hybrid cross of gryphon and Dryfus breed male gryphal, the largest and most powerful breed. The result was a much more mild temperament, very much like the gryphons around them, a return of sexual desire, and fertility. They could and did breed with female gryphons and female gryphal, though the return rate on males seemed to be one a generation. Kehzrick is only the seventh.
