Hey guys and gals! The name's jwmcd2, and since it's a pain in the ass to type, you can call me "jw" or just "j". I'm mainly a traditional artist, but recently have made a foray into some digital stuff and am still working out the kinks. My favorite media include pencils, charcoals and hard pastels. I have drawn seriously since 2006 after a great woman encouraged me and brought art back into my life, so here I am 4 years later and still in love with drawing. My favorite subject is figure drawing, and my favorite art movements are Classicism/Renaissance, Realism, and Impressionism.

I also enjoy some animation characters and any kind of artwork. Hence why I'm here: I'm an artist, not a participant of the "furry life" or anything like that. Not gonna knock anybody for that, but hey, it's not me. Rip's the main character I've created, he's an Otteroo-- an otter-kangaroo hybrid. He's fairly active and enjoys swimming and surfing as well as cutting up with friends-- a lot like me. Still, he's just a character and not a "fursona" thing like some people, so don't get the wrong impression-- I'm an artist, not a "lifestyle fan". He's gotten a lot of attention in his development, but it's fun to kick back with something decidedly "unrealistic" when I get tired of human figure studies.

You'll find I'm an easy-going guy that doesn't like to offend anyone. Also, being that I was raised in the Southeastern US, I've been raised to show common courtesy. If you treat me with respect, you will have a friend. Otherwise, I will politely ignore you.
