Zahira is from a breed of winged mammalians called an Iyroi. They are a clawless, feline-like animal that are born with wings that allow them limited flight. The young are born from eggs, and instead of the blue of normal mammal young, their eyes are a very brilliant shade of hot pink. Iyroi are light furred, usually white with tan, cream, or a pastel hued fur. Young born with dark fur are called Rahilie, and are revered as gods/goddesses. Iyroi are passive, non magical being, having no defense against attack other then the fact that their blood, flesh, and fur is poisonous if ingested and magic has no effect on them, this includes physical magics such as firebreath. They are saber fanged, making it known that they are carnivorous, however, their lack of claws mean that they typically raise thier own cattle or other herbavoric animal. Their eyes change to their adult color at the age of twenty, which is when they reach maturity and take on a Rahilie as their mate. Zahira, however, has chosen to not mate as she is content as she is.
