So...let's do this.

Name: Hera Ledro. But you can call me Jon if you prefer real names. Just don't call me Jimbob! Or Jonny One-Punch. My Tae Kwon Do instructor gave me that nickname for a reason.
Profession: ESL Teacher.
Education: Bachelor of Arts, with an Advanced English Major and a Minor in Mathematics. Special focus in religion and philosophy as an unofficial second minor.
Nationality: Canadianl
Species: Totally don't know. Probably an otter, but the character of Hera Ledro from my very first attempt at novelism is an alien Mary Sue. I just haven't been able to get rid of the username - it stuck with me like...sticky stuff. REALLY sticky stuff.

Bonjour, je m'appele Jon. Despite that little line, I can barely speak a lick of French, but I always love the way French rolls off my tongue. Or keyboard, as the case may be.

I'm primarily a writer. I am currently working on my novel Dissonance, a light fantasy which is (I suppose obviously) furry. I rather enjoy writing; though my goal in life is to become a full-blown teacher, I would say my dream is to be a novelist. Sadly, I lack the time and funds to make that a reality at the moment, but I'm trying, slowly but surely. I'll say this for taking my time with my novel: not rushing the process makes everything flow smoothly. Hated writing rushed stuff in university.

I am a bonafide furry through and through. I'm not the kind of furry that typically gets turned on by art (though stories tend to tickle my fancy a bit more, but I credit that to my overactive imagination), and more than anything I enjoy browsing for good, quality pieces. I rarely favourite anything, but that's less because I don't like it and more because whatever that piece was didn't strike me as something I would enjoy looking at many times over. Nonetheless, I do enjoy browsing art and stories.

My interests lie mostly around literature and film. I'm a shameless nerd - though perhaps not so extreme as some - and would sooner have an in-depth discussion about the socio-cultural implications of religion than simply converse. I don't comment, I review. When I see art - especially written art - that incites a strong enough reaction in me, I want to either praise or criticize the artist. Typically I do a meeting of both; no work is perfect, and there are very few works in recent years that I've read/seen that are wholly terrible (though Twilight remains one of the exceptions). I suppose I can't help myself; I enjoy academic analysis. It makes the world more enjoyable for me.

In terms of television, I find myself leaning towards the early/late 90s as a preferred era. I'm a massive fan of Biker Mice From Mars and The Secret of NIMH, as well as any complex - but still entertaining - television entertainment. Animaniacs were just awesome, and BMFM had strong characters while the plotlines were, in my opinion, actually parodying the plot holes and idiocies observed in other contemporary television. SWAT Kats is another big one, but just because of the Rule of Cool (which is actually a rarity for me), and my childhood was packed to the brim with shows like Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers and Gargoyles. And of course, we can't ignore Batman: The Animated Series. My television interests even as a child leant towards complex stories and overarcing plots, such as those observed in Batman: TAS. Again, shameless nerd.

One last note: if anybody here is into Guild Wars or Guild Wars 2, those are games that I play avidly (especially the latter in recent months). If you'd like to hook up on there, send me a message here or on my FurAffinity account.

How did the Joker say it? Laters!
