I haven't seen anything, which is a shame. I get that the feed is probably intended to be the new spot for them, but a 500 character limit really kills that.
It looks like they're at least fixing a lot of the overall issues with the design in the next update. I hope they can look at creating a journal space again afterwards.

Could you not find the option or is it that when you tried the site wouldn't let you add it to the folder?

First I didn't find the option and the it did list me all my folders but refused to allow me to add it into that particular folder. It would've let me put it into another folder, so I think doesn't seem to be a total failure but something is obviously going on.
