For almost two decades, Genki has been behind a pair of turntables, delighting crowds of thousands with his unique sound of Hardcore music. His very high energy stage presence coupled with his tight cuts, seamless mixes, and storybook-like track selection have kept him in demand as regular in the Hardcore scene since it's early days. From playing underground warehouse events across the country, to large, full scale club venues internationally, he has spread his deep love for his craft with as many people as possible, not slowing down once. His drive and passion for his music are evident in his sets, and continue to keep him a regular in the club circuit as well as conventions including Anthrocon (2002-2007), FWA (2004-2009), MFM (2002, 2007), Antheria (2010), FC (2005), MFF (2009) and FAU (2010).
At just 18 years old, Genki had scored his first major club residency at The Abyss, the largest nightclub in Virginia. He played to crowds of thousands each night in the main room, remaining as the club's head EDM dj until the club closed in March 2003. During his time at The Abyss, he still managed a very busy schedule dj'ing at various events and clubs, as his dj'ing and music became a way of life and a full time profession. Since The Abyss, Genki has obtained residencies at nightclub venues including Ambush, Club Exit NYC, Wave Nightclub, Avanti, and Skips. A sponsored dj of Ravers Only for the past 10 years, he has been featured as a resident dj at North America's largest Hardcore event Candyball playing alongside dj's Brisk, Sc, Uplift, and Venom and several UK and US internet radio stations, working hard to bring Hardcore music back to the forefront and to as many ears as possible. His dj'ing gave birth to a production career, known to play a mixture of his own original tracks and unreleased material together to give the listener something guarateed that they won't hear anywhere else! Now working alongside Hardcore legend Luna-C on new material, he hopes to contribute to the evolution of hardcore, and to bring about a brand new sound different from what people are used to. His main goal is to bring happiness and enjoyment of the Hardcore sound to as many people as possible, giving back to people that have been very welcoming to him for so many years.
