HELLO!
I am Astrea Genevieve Lunari. It's a pleasure to meet you. I am excited to be here and get to know everyfur. I guess this is where I tell everyone about myself...
Not much to say really. I was born with sight but lost it due to a religious incident. I was chosen, due to my markings, to be the next high priestess of Luna. The Priests decided they wanted to do something they never had done before to try and be closer to the Goddess. They took me to the sanctuary with my parents and made me drink a potion. It was the worst tasting thing I ever had in my life and it BURNED. It didn't just burn my throat and stomach, but it burned my eyes. I remember falling unconscious and waking up believing it was night. Turns out, even though I had my eyes open, I was BLIND. The Priests were proud of their handy work and began talking about doing it to other young women, thinking I was still out cold. They assumed I would be so upset over what they did to me, that I wouldn't want to be their Priestess. Once they realized that I was awake, I made them promise to never do this to another woman again. They agreed and I began my training.
I was gifted with a few powers from the Goddess though. She allows me to see visions of herself and possibly the future if it needs changing. She also gave me the ability to manipulate Light. My powers are strongest when the moon is risen. But since the Moon is never really gone, I can still use them. I am at my weakest during the day and the New moon though. I can manipulate sunlight as well but prefer not to due to it not being as pretty as Moonlight. That brings me to my final gift and ability. I CAN see auras. When I open my eyes, I can see a faint light around shadows. Most of the time the aura lets me know if the thing in front of me is good, bad, or inanimate.
I do need help getting around sometimes though. I have a bad habit of being a clutz. I trip over steps and rocks in front of me. So you tend to see me with my hand against a wall or running against trees. I do shuffle when I walk when I am in enclosed areas like house, stores, and other places that tend to have public or furniture nearby. I usually will do things on my own but when I ask for help, I really need it. Broken glass in my biggest weakness. With it being clear, lifeless, and without an aura, I tend to try and avoid it.
I bet you are wondering why I am here though. I left my family, friends, priests, home to explore and learn the world on my own. I was told I could so long as I promised to return when I was done being rebellious. If I didn't return, they may corrupt another woman in the clan. But the only problem is, there are no other women with the markings that I have. They like their Priestess's to have the markings of the moon and the fur color of the snow and stars. It is part of the reason I wish to never birth my own children, for fear they will be taken, the same way I was taken from my family.
From what I remember, I have white fur, blue eyes, and blue vines along the sides of my body that seem to originate from this Crescent moon shape on my forehead. I love the moon. I probably get that from my mom. Speaking of my mother, she is currently the Priestess while I am away. She was the original Priestess but was never able to get the visions from the Goddess. That is purely my power and my strength. The Goddess will talk through me if she needs to. My father was a Priest but left the Priesthood when he fell in love with my mother. They had me against the rules and in rebellion to the Priests. Don't tell them that I found a Mate as well.
Speaking of which, I fell in love with a Cat. Well I assume he is a cat. He seems to be a cat when I touch him. I am confused about his powers though. His aura is green and he seems to be a little strange sometimes. I like to call him and alien but he hates it.

I am glad to be here. I hope that everything is going well. Astrea is modeled off of a wolf that often appeared in my dreams. Well a combination of the male and the female that often appeared. Her body is modeled off of myself. I do like to Role Play and I do have preference for Para more than shorthand, but will adapt to whomever I am Role playing with. I am a 24 year old female who has been told has a good heart. So I try to keep everyone positive and happy. If you wish to know more about me or Astrea, I am happy to oblige.
