Amirov is a red panda. There is also a bit of cat in his ancestry, which manifests itself anatomically as a creamy-white front, instead of the standard black red panda belly. Other than that, he's a pretty regular red panda guy! He stands 5' 3", and his long, fluffy, ringed tail hangs down to his feet. He wears glasses. His hair is dirty blonde, mid-lengthed, asymmetrical and unkempt. He is a little bit versatile, but leans pretty strongly sub.

I never know what to say about myself for these sorts of things. What should I broadcast to strangers who I might want to get to know? Once the furry stuff is out of the way, it's all qualitative stuff that might not even come into play when we interact. But I figure I should put something here.

I'll start with why I'm here! Basically I come here to meet people. I'm looking for friends, people to chat dirty with, people to chat not-dirty with, and, even though I'm not really getting my hopes about finding it here, a mate.

I've always been somewhat introspective, and I like to think about why people do what they do and why they are who they are. I am curious about the nature and structure of people's thoughts and how those thoughts can help and hinder them. I like to help people, but I can only do so much. I like to talk about life, the universe, and everything. At the same time, I like people who are down to earth and not without a touch of cynicism.

Music is my favorite thing; little can make me feel quite as strongly as music can. So I can't help but put a lot of stuff in this section of my bio. I find a lot of it unbearable, and have spent years digging for stuff that I love. I listen to experimental stuff (Merzbow, Yellow Swans, Mouthus, Wolf Eyes), various forms of electronic music (Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Venetian Snares, Tobacco, Wisp, Ratatat, Portishead), chiptune (Goto80, Alex Mauer, Covox, USK), ambient (Of, Stars of the Lid, Belong, Porn Sword Tobacco, Robert Rich), various forms of rock (math rock like Giraffes? Giraffes!, Battles, Lite, and Tera Melos, post-rock and post-hardcore like Unwound, Polvo, and This Will Destroy You, and other types of rock like Modest Mouse, Spiral Beach, Boris, Earth, Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana), and some metal (Liturgy, Wolves in the Throne Room, Menace Ruine). I also have an appreciation for classical music, but it isn't something I've yet devoted a lot of time to listening to. I do like some of The Nutcracker quite a bit. Philip Glass is an enjoyable modern composer.

I also like playing music, but I'm still very much a beginner to the instruments I play, even if I consider myself to have some musical intuition. I'm most practiced on the drums, which I really love playing. I've got a bit of practice with keyboard as well. I've taught myself some guitar too, but I'm really not that great at it. I also program music using gameboys, and actually have a net album somewhere online. I'm kind of embarassed about it honestly, it was early work of mine, and I really ought to rally myself to make another one at some point. It's just that with college and other stuff going on, programming music hasn't been at the top of my priorities in a while. A few of my gameboy songs are posted here.

I like Zen and find meditation to be an enormously therapeutic practice, if I can get myself to do it regularly; I'm not the most conscientious person around, but I can sometimes be driven if I get my mind set on something. I do not consider myself religious, though, and am an athiest. I believe science is the best tool we have for understanding the world around us. Many important aspects of Zen philosophy co-exist with my secular views just fine. I see mindfulness practice as something that plays my strengths against my weaknesses; I can be an anxious person, but I am also very open-minded and try to seek worth in and appreciation for every moment. I can see beauty in the mundane, in things that other people might miss or not bother to look for.
