Dragons are an extremely complex species, there is almost limitless lore and scripture written about them...so much in fact, that it really isn't for certain what the true nature of a dragon is. Many different scientists, biologistis, and historians have all speculated on the anatomy and capabilities of a dragon, and the truth is...that almost everyone is correct in some way, but none of them are entirely correct. There are thousands of different species of dragon, ranging from the long bodied serpentine dragons of the east, all the way to the stout muscular dragons of the west. 

Akkero ((Dragon))

Akkero, would be classified as a western dragon simply because of his appearance. He is of a sturdy build but he is also agile and quick. His species, with a bit of help from his bloodline has gifted him with enormous lengthy wings that allow him astonishing maneuverability in flight...a capability which is normally seen in females. His scales are comparable to metal plates as far as strength and firmness go. His lower belly and crotch area however are more of a softer leather like hide, but still tough. He is a very territorial creature and believes very much in exercising his control by doing regular patrols through his massive mountain valley, keeping any who dwell its dense forest in check. Unlike most western dragons, Akkero does not have a particular fondness of precious metals or gold, there just simply is no use of it to him. He can make do with the few articles of jewelry that he wears regularly. Most beings that make a living under the cover of the trees in his valley have learned to do one of two things, fear him or worship him. This system has worked well enough for Akkero, those who fear him stay away and those who worship him present him with gifts. He has only ever had a handful of individuals who have made an attempt on his life, and even though he made short work of them, he was forced to take certain counter measures to avoid a more serious attempt.

Akkero ((Leopard))

It came to Akkero's attention that there were actually quite a few that were out to claim his life, apparently because of the rather large bounty one would receive for slaying the 'Demon of the Valley'. This forced Akkero to adapt an alternate form, one that he could use to infiltrate other societies and discover plots that regarded his safety. He chose the form of an anthro leopard. Even though he could assume this form, he still possessed some draconic resemblance, for example; his eyes are the thin vertical slits, when he blinks his eyelids first show a thin membrane slide horizontally across his eye, his tongue is more serpentine than feline, and his malehood is a hybrid between a feline and a dragon. It is because of these features that he must be very careful when trying to infiltrate, a well trained eye could spot them.

Akkero's Cavern

Akkero spends most of his time patrolling his valley and putting on small shows to display his power and control of the land. Though when he is not in flight or occupied he likes to spend his time on the forest floor in his leopard form, mingling with the local inhabitants. At the end of the day he normally retires to his cavern high up in the mountains overlooking the vast valley. The cavern itself is even a sight to behold, let along the view that it possesses over the valley from the out cropping. The cavern is very well sized, it could easily accommodate two full grown dragons and have room to spare, unfortunately though, he is without a mate. The back of the cavern contains a rather large collection of fresh water that is constantly fueled by the mountain's runoff from the snow in the peaks. The water is even deep enough for his entire dragon form to fit in, with the water reaching high enough to lap at his belly scales, which offers the perfect bathing pool. A little ways from the water lies his bedding, an enormous pad which consists of numerous fur pelts that were created for him by one of the anthro clans that reside in his forest. The pelts themselves consist mainly of feral deer, elk, and perhaps a few buffalo. They offer ideal comfort for him, whether he be in his leopard or dragon form.
