About friend requests, I will not accept a random friend request from some one I have not even spoken to, nor will I accept a friend request from some one I barely know at all. In my mind, that is between friends. If we are not and you send a friend request, don't be offended if I deny it. It is nothing personal, I just do not know you well enough to call you my friend.
The obligatory stat sheet.
Before we can begin learning about sweet little Kirrian, we have to learn a bit about her species. If you wish to, you may skip this step and simply look at her physical statistics. On most worlds, drakes are just dragons, but on the face of Skanshial they are a different species that evolved from the same base species. Yes, they were once the same species at the birth of the world. Large and powerful beasts that were simply primal physical beings with no connection to the arcane forces around them. The dragons evolved from the few amongst the original race who gained a connection to those arcane energies, developing a breath weapon in some cases and the potential to become mages. The other set were faced with the same challenges of evolution by natural means, coming to the necessity of their smaller size and unified coloration to help identify one another with ease as tensions developed between them and their massive cousins. It is still uncertain what evolutionary path lead to the three color variants amongst the drakes, but there are three possible shades that appear on the under sides of their wings and belly scales. Blue tipped, meaning these markings are blue, Violet tipped, meaning these markings are violet, and crimson, meaning they are red. These shades can vary a bit, from soft and pale to very deep and rich. Aside from this, every drake is a soft white color with their scales being milky and translucent if they are removed. Their bodies are an odd shape, appearing to be half way between the transition of the feral draconic shape that could walk on either two or four limbs, to a humanoid shape. Bipedal and capable of flight, drakes use tools and weapons.
Now then, let us meet Kirrian.
Name: Kirrian Windthresh
Age: Twenty three years
Height: Four feet eleven inches.
Species: Shialan drake.
Coloration: She is a crimson tipped drake, with her red markings being a vibrant ruby red.
Eyes: Pale blue with a soft frosting of gray to them.
Personal attributes: Kirrian has a long tail for her species, often twisting the tip between her fingers as a nervous display. She can, on occasion, actually cause herself pain without warning to herself. Her wings are also some what larger than normal for a drake of her size, allowing Kirrian to hide within them when she feels overwhelmed or flustered. She is near sighted and wears eye glasses that are loosely held onto her head by a soft velvet cord. She does alternatively have a set of contact lenses that she will wear if she will be doing a lot of flying or climbing in her professional duties. Both sets of corrective eye wear cause different paranoid reactions in the nervous drake. Thanks to the wonders of reptilian anatomy, she is quite publicly proper without clothing, thus she does not wear anything save for her trusty book satchel slung over her right shoulder to rest beneath her left arm.
Historic overview: Kirrian was born to a low caste family with little hope of raising herself amongst the social ranks. She was a very bright girl and was able to make a link the other boys and girls of her village, or the majority of her nation for that matter, were unable to make. All of those who did those interesting and amazing things with the mystical powers of the arcane known as magic, were all very well educated individuals. A sharp and powerful mind was necessary to control magic and Kirrian wanted more than anything else in life to be the third drake in history to ever control magic. With that goal in mind the young drakeling threw herself into the task of learning every bit of knowledge she could find. By the time she was ready to move out of her parent's home, she still had not developed a connection to the arcane weaves. That did not deter the girl from her quest, instead she simply enrolled in the Central Arcane Academy to attend the classes on the mathematics and physics behind the manipulation of the arcane energies and the natural states they can be found in. Her insatiable need to learn all she could caught the eye of the head mistress and earned her an offer that any of the young mages within those walls would have killed to have. Kirrian became the paid research assistant to one Shadow Kreitz. It seemed logical to her that working with the most well educated and powerful of mages on a daily basis was the best chance she had of somehow inspiring her soul to connect to those energies that just seemed to be ever out of her grasp. Now she finds herself going to known safe locations to conduct information gathering and observation activities in locations that are deemed safe for her to be in. This probably would have been easier if she had taken the time to develop social skills instead of simply gathering academic knowledge to hoard in her own mind.
A gift from a friend, drawn by Rizen of Furaffinity, thank you both for bringing Kirrian to life.

An apology gift from a friend, special thanks to TjRawr01 of Furaffinity for doing the wonderful work on Kirrian.
