Liberation of Casian Gate

[i]The world of Casian Gate was a massive hub for Elion trade and a valuable choke point leading to the core of Elion Territory, due mostly in part to the world being part of the only safe route though the Ralus Nebula Cluster, a collection of nebulas that hindered FTL Travel in the region. Should any fleet wish to bypass Casian Gate, They would have to do so at sub-light speeds, a lengthy process that would leave them open to attacks from Security Forces and Pirates alike.
During the first Terran years of the Human-Elion War, Casian Gate would halt the Human advance to a standstill, the planet becoming a bastion for retreating Elion forces and refugees. But no object, not even an entire world, is immovable. After a year of brutal fighting, orbital bombardments, and more, The planet finally fell into Human hands.
It wouldn't be until nine years later, and a combined death toll in the billions, that the world would be liberated and remain firmly in Elion hands again, The flag of the Elysian Republic flying proudly over the Casian Capital.[/i]
