The Thin Line: "The Great Wolf"
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
This drawing, done by J.W. Kennedy, was made for Part RR of "The Thin Line." Cpl. Westersloe Winterbough, at right, is attempting to use magicks to fracture the ice upon which the elite cavalry of the Grey Horde, led by the Great Wolf, is about to cross. He, himself, stands before the roebuck, about to draw his sword...
I had, for those cinematically minded, Eisenstein's famous battle on the ice sequence from "Alexander Nevskii" in mind when I wrote this piece, and JWK faithfully kept that in mind. Note the belt and helmet on the Great Wolf.
