True enough. But depending on the quality you want to achieve in a certain amount of time, well then time is of the essence. I want to be able to do a painting relatively quickly. Which would involve learning or finding techniques that would help set up the groundwork of the piece quickly and then spending the rest of the time cleaning it up and adding details.

But that's what I think.
