She was breathtaking when I first laid eyes on her. Long flowing red hair tied neatly into a braided ponytail, running down her back. She was beyond my imagination, carrying the looks that entire nations would fall for. No mere mortal could have a chance with such a woman. “Go ahead and draw a picture, it'll last longer." the lady purred as she sat up from her chair.

“S-s-sorry ma'am! You caught me off guar-" I lost my train of thought when I finally notice the markings  covering her body. The pattern was slightly different but I knew for sure that she was the same as Vincent. “Are you a princess or some sort of royal? like....him?"

Before I had a chance to process what was happening, the lady quickly sat up and lunge forward, seemingly pulling something out from behind her back. She was mere inches from my face as the queen had pulled out a claymore sword up against my throat, its blade pressed up against my Adam's apple. “Show some respect Dex, I am your queen, not some petty princess."  Helios growled. My soul was frozen with fear as I felt the animosity in her eyes.

“My deepest apologies your highness! It won't happen again." I stammered out while holding up my arms in defense. She signed before retracting her weapon, faint traces of blood trickled down its edge.

“Jeez, I pray that the rest of my people show more admiration than you."

“Your Majesty?"

“Look, I'll get straight to the point. I heard your cries and I have to say, you're a embarrassment to all of humanity Dex. The fact that you would cower like a puppy in the face of death so easily, I couldn't be more disappointed in you." Queen Helios stated blankly. The feeling of dread washed over me in a heartbeat, this place must be where I will be judge for my sins, my actions, everything! All I could do was wait for her punishment but none came. “However, you did it for the sole purpose of survival. If you had the strength, you would have found a way to escape the given situation. With that, I'll  give you a choice.

You see, I once entrusted my nursery to the hands of powerful men and women long ago. They were best and brightest the world has ever seen." The queen walked back to her chair to take another sip of her drink before continuing. “Sadly, the group responsible for protecting my creation had some sort of internal conflict with each other and as a result, destroyed themselves. This is where you come in."

"Dex, once humanity is reborn, I will need someone to help me lead them to the right path. To ensure that our children are no longer forced to fight, that the horrors of war are far from their innocent eyes. I want you to be my right hand man." She said it as if it wasn't that huge of a deal but the face she made told me that the queen was very much serious about the position.

“Your majesty, I'm I'm sure that there's more suitable individuals for tha-" she held out of her palm to stop me, taking the time to down what remained in her glass before speaking again.

“Don't tell me that you are turning down my offer Dex?" the same twisted expression from before returned. I grew stiff when she started to softly smile at me.

“I'll do my best but how exactly are you going to retake what was lost? From what I could remember, the Beastmen had already fully unitized our technology not long after the war."

“I see. If that's how they are able to prevent the nursery from fully awakening then I must take action!" I could see a mixture of anger and curiosity in her expression. A small part of me excited to finally see what the legendary Queen would do. Stories about her able to lay waste to entire armies with just a flick of her finger clouded my mind back then.

“What will you do my queen?" I asked her, slightly nervous that she may lash out for speaking out of tongue again.

“Blood must be spilled for the greater good Dex. It's pathetic that everyone went soft after i have been gone for so long but the animals will soon see the true might of humanity. " The queen hissed as she raised her palm high up into the air as if grabbing for something. Before long, the beach suddenly experienced a deep tremor, causing everything to vibrate violently which caused me to lose my footing  plummet down to the soft ground.

Jolting back up, I discovered that she nowhere to seen but her presence was still very close. “You are now my official advisor and thus you are granted special privileges to my nursery. Head to your quarters and relax Dex until the time comes for you to help me. Our knights shall break the seals that binds us all and lead a path through the darkness." her voiced seemingly whispering into my mind while the beach I found myself in vanished and was replaced by a concrete room devoid of anything. With nothing else to do, I walked out of the wooden door I came in from and was back at the long corridor and was met face to face with a tall man in what appeared to be a jester costume, his face concealed by a plain white make that was smiling from ear to ear.

“My my! I didn't think she would actually give a child the title of advisor so easily."

Nothing could prepare us for this! The GM detectors are going through the right now but no one is showing signs of poisoning. The research division Theorized that the megastructure was producing the gamma radiation only as a form of defense but that's clearly not the case when we discovered that it was quickly spreading across the globe.

That was when the reports came flooding in about captive human children being turned into Those…. monstrosities! We have reasons to believe that the gamma radiation is responsible for the change but how is that even possible? I saw the online videos. You would expect painful  blisters and  rashes to appear on their skin but instead…...they would just combust into flames, still laughing as the fire consumed them, turning into something no longer human!
