Sorry this one is so short but I'll try to make the next one a little longer.

Festivals
It was now the next month and while still hot, the civilians of Aispir City were able to keep cool by swimming, staying inside, or staying in the shade. And now that it was the middle of summer, some festivals were happening to celebrate this time of the year. Nicholas and his team were for with checking them out. And of course Rachel with her parents wanted Malika to be with them during the times of attending them. “She’s very fond of you,” Morgan said to the Anubian Jackal at one point. “I’m not sure why.”
“Well, I don’t mind,” the second female commented. “I honestly like kids; really.”
“She also fond of Nicholas to.”
“Whatever,” Malika growled. “I could care less about him…”
And that’s how the group ended up arriving at the first of these festivals. To Nicholas’s surprise, his brother joined them with a female that he was dating. The latter wasn’t, but because the younger fosky usually never did. “Marie wanted to come to this, that’s why,” the younger sibling explained.
Marie herself was quiet the good looking red panda, and it was clear that she and Lucas really had chemistry and love for the other. “So then, what to do first?” Cherry asked.
There was music playing, people about, and booths of all kinds that featured food and other things. The idea for this one was the celebrate the feeling of summer and the place showed it for the theme. “Maybe just start in one corner and work our way in,” Nicholas suggested.
The group began to walk around the festivities. During it, the long-haired fosky ended up walking behind Malika. He not only noticed the way she looked from behind, but the way her hips, tail, and ass moved. The guy tore his eyes away when realizing what he was doing. “What is wrong with me?!” Nicholas growled inside his head. Then the thoughts of how the Anubian Jackal looked during those times and acted during the past holidays and dance. But these fought with how she usually was towards him.
“You okay?” went Rachel’s voice that snapped the fosky out of his thoughts.
“Hmm?” he replied. “Oh yeah…”
The little coyote smiled up at him. She then spotted a booth that had toys and other things for kids. “Can I get one?” Rachel asked her parents. They told her no and she was disappointed by due to having been told that enough times for things the little coyote was well behaved.
“Hey, don’t worry,” Nicholas said with a smile. “When you’re older and can make your own choices you can get whatever you want.”
Malika happened to notice this interaction and now it was her turn to be confused. She knew how the guy acted around her. Then why was seeing him being good with Rachel was something the female liked? “Ugh!” the Anubian Jackal growled in her head. “He’s just an asshole is all!”
She was then distracted by Morgan and Malika was able to enjoy herself. “Here, let’s see if can find something else instead,” Nicholas said to Rachel.
“Mmm!” she replied and held up her arms to be placed on his shoulders. The guy did so with a smile. Her parents and Morgan thought it was adorable along with Cherry and Marie. Malika on the other hand looked, got confused again, and turned her head away with her nose in the air. Overall, the day was great even if she and Nicholas were left a bit confused and still not on that friendly of terms. But there was till one month left to go for summer before things would pick up again and in more ways than one.

And that is when things will get interesting.
