Athena is a sniper of the charr's Blood Legion, and often assigned to supplement the forces of the Tyrian Pact. An experienced soldier, she is of Rytlock's generation and a bit of a grump these days, unless mead or guns is involved. She is kind of a gun nut, you see, and her pistols and her rifle have both been heavily customized to her preferences. 

Her rifle itself, which some have nicknamed the Predator, was a display prize for winning a sharpshooting contest during the bicentennial celebrations of Kalla Scorchrazor's victory over the Flame Legion back in 1316 AE. Unwilling to even consider owning a nonfunctional gun, Athena completely replaced the innards and tuned it into a machine of precision and death, and makes it a point to use it whenever appropriate.
