Guardians Lore: Unified Galactic Systems Military treaty

The Unified Galactic Systems Military Treaty was a treaty that ended the long war between Humanity and Pelzigans. It was what helped form the UGSM that is seen in current events. When the treaty was signed, Humans were banned from further genetic research in regards to making a Human-Pelzigan hybrid in any 'unnatural' way possible. Along with that, the Pelzigans had to share technology with Humanity in order to help them advance further. This would form the Correlations between the two species governments. During this time, there was an insurrection on the Human side of things that fought against it believing that Humanity was the 'pure' species and that they deserved, by god's given right, to rule the galaxy with total power and not to bend for the Pelzigans. The treaty had set up boundaries for both species and made sure neither side could act out in aggression towards the other and allowed the two to work together. During the Insurrection, the Pelzigans sent one of their city ships, the Argus, to help Humanity in quelling the uprising. After two years of fighting, they succeeded. However this brought up another insurrection movement on the Pelzigans side made up of Pelzigans who still viewed Humanity as threats and the Pelzigans that worked with them as traitors. Unlike the Human Insurrection, the Pelzigan Insurrection was small and mobile making it harder for them to be tracked down and they are still active to this day. Despite the issues that arose, the treaty has helped keep peace between the two and allowed them to enter into a prosperous era, up until the war with the Lothians. The war with the Lothians had put tremendous stress on the UGSM and at several points in time, threatened to destroy the treaty that both species worked hard to keep. To this day, the treaty continues to ensure that cooperation is continued between both, and remains in effect.
