History of Pelzigans
The Pelzigans have a rich and complicated history behind them. They are a race of anthropomorphic beings who have advanced faster than Humanity has. While Humanity was fighting the first World War, Pelzigans were colonizing outside of their own home system. Their golden age, which is rumored to have massive metropolis style ships capable of flying among the stars, to machines capable of time travel itself, was immense. By the year 1995, their golden age was at its peak. Poverty was non-existent, war was almost unheard of, and science had prevailed over all. Of course, nothing lasts forever. The Pelzigans were close to what is called Ascendancy. Meaning leaving their mortal forms for an immortal form that had great power. Magic had become infused with machinery, and nothing was beyond their reach. However, the Draconic Empire, which later lead to the Lothian Empire, had cut across the galaxy enslaving numerous races and destroying countless planets. Their technology rivaled the Pelzigans and threatened their way of life. At first the Pelzigans attempted to open peace talks, but were met with attacks. Eventually war broke out. Both sides suffered heavy casualties, systems on both sides were also lost to total destruction. Eventually the Pelzigans were able to deal a critical blow and stop the Draconic Empires war machine. The war itself lasted for twenty years. Eventually the Draconics, for other reasons, suddenly vanished from existence. With the War over, the Pelzigans had to rebuild worlds and lives. It proved too much. Economical collapse was imminent, followed by riots and outright fights between the Pelzigans people. Eventually war broke out once again. Leben at the time was the central governing body for the entire Pelzigan Space Force and Colonization, or PSFC for short. Numerous planets attempted to break away so as to try and focus on rebuilding themselves instead of sharing their resources with the main group of Pelzigan planets and forces leading to a civil war that would grow. Eventually the planets that broke away from the main governing body ended up winning, but at a cost. Leben itself had lost most of its ability to become space faring and was sent back to an industrial like era from the war. The new governing body decided to cut the planet off from the rest of Pelzigan colonies. The reasons for this was many, but one of the main ones was the corruption that had taken place there. Believe it to be a penance of some kind to Leben. The planet itself had to rebuild and try to repair itself before contact would be made with any other Pelzigan planet. For two hundred years, Leben rebuild, and peace prospered. However that peace ended after that two hundred years. Beings who claimed to be gods of which the Pelzigans on Leben worshiped, had begun a war between themselves, deciding on whether or not Leben should be sent back further, or allowed to progress. It was with a group of Pelzigans belonging to a group known as The Knights Order, that the war itself was fought and lasted a year, known as a year of hell. At the end the group had managed to deactivate a weapon that was housed within a temple that had been built during the golden age that was capable of erasing memories of individuals on a massive level, and stop one of the beings from using it to get what she wanted. With that, Leben had continued into space fairing and eventually reconnected with the rest of the Pelzigans in space and was eventually accepted back into the fold. For a few hundred years there was, once again, peace. Until the Pelzigans met Humanity, and the First Contact War began.
