The beach in the winter is a blast; I can walk them for hours just looking for things that washed up.

(Or I should say I could when I lived by the ocean.)

Lake Erie isn't much of a substitute for the ocean, even if they both might seem as vast and endless standing on the shores at times. Looks like there's a lot more fun to be had here than at Edgewater park or somewhere though. /envy~

Don't be envious, just different scenery! The people who came to this beach weren't that impressed and said that it wasn't a "proper" beach. Meh to "tropical" beaches overpopulated by tourists, I say! I'd love to visit your corner of the world... There's something different to be had everywhere.
