When will I ever learn?
I used to get a private "roomette" which was big enough for two even though I was travelling alone and converted into a double bed at night. The Roomette car was always halfway between First Class and Coach and you could use either dining room. I'd go forward to Coach to get a party started and go back to First Class to recover where it was quiet the next day.
On the other hand, I've often done them favours, babysitting 'problem' passengers until they can be off-loaded at the next station. They frown on dumping people in the middle of Saskatchewan in sub-freezing temperatures for some reason.
Actually, I'm kind of envious, their chrome moose is way nicer looking.
