Ssevarine 2
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Well, it's been a long time coming, but I finally have a pet snake.
Her name is Ssevarine and she is an 8 month old Cinnamon morph Ball Python.
She's in a 10 gal tank for now, with moistened tropical substrate and some repti-bark strewn against the bottom. one watering dish, and two hidey holes (one of which is partly underground for added moisture and warmth). IT's not the most glamorous setup right now, but in time I will be slowly adding to it and making it prettier. I do have to get a thermometer and a humidex to make sure she's in the right range for both.
I'm told by the breeder I got her from that she refuses Frozen thawed mice (the preferred form of food, rather than risking health to feed a still alive and survival-instinct ridden rodent), but I'm going to try next wednesday anyway. I would rather play it safe.
First time snake owner, so I have a lot to learn, but I'm glad to finally fulfil one of my life long dreams. it's not a big deal to most, but I've wanted a snake since I was 8 and my family has always been violently, aggressively against it due to my mother being an Ophidophobe (afraid of snakes.)
So yeah, Living in London, got a pet snake, got a job that lets me continue with my writing. Can't really ask for more right now.
And since that was my last major purchase for a while, I can start truly saving up.
