You get to a point where you've been stuck, poked and prodded so many times, you're pretty immune to it. Watched the doctor sew me up, and had Rita remove the stitches in a hotel room. Hell, if need be, I'd let Rita stitch me up and let the doctor remove them in a hotel room.

Yup! I have removed my own stitches and surgical staples. *shrugs* No big deal.

For us. Kids today wouldn't.

You get to my age, you come to terms with needles. Just part of getting old. There are worse things.....

That's true. But I still don't like them. Maybe that's just the young canine in me, although I can still take it like an adult. I remember me and my older sister getting flu shots when we were little (I think she's about three years older then me, FYI). I squirmed a little, but overall, I didn't think it was that bad. My sister, on the other hand, was bawling her eyes out. Although it might have also helped that I had the bribery of McDonalds to keep me in line.

That would do it!
I have a theory that medical procedures get less scary as you grow older, have more of them, and you learn what painful REALLY is.
My personal top three.....
1. Dislocated ankle (went into shock, started passing out.)
2. Kidney stones/kidney infection
3. Full blown food poisoning
I suppose I should put a migrane somewhere on that list. And a tooth/ear infection. All very bad things
