Jewel Vixens and Alpha Canines in Menace in the North, Eh? Part 1: Recon on Icy Terrain
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTKonbodZ74)
Things just weren't right up in Canada. Random acts of violence were popping up like weeds. And the Northern Lights… well, they just weren't right. One night, they'd be brighter than ever. And the next, gone. In the last place that had been taken care of, Nicholas and Topaz had overheard the enemy talking to the ones in charge. Somehow, those guys were behind it all. Tracking the source of the disturbance was easy. By simply following the lights, the group was lead to an immense lumber camp. The sheer number of fallen trees advertised the enemy here.
As it turned out there had been more info on the rhino minion of Ogel. The guy's real name was Felix Abelard while the code name was Blade. This person like those who worked under the wolf, had a really tough time since the devastating World War I. Felix, although not the brightest of the group, wasn't to be underestimated. He sometimes had some surprising tactics and methods. And it was this that had caught Ogel's attention and made Blade become his hit man. Regardless, this was the time for Felix and Jean to be defeated. Not only to stop the last members of the Klaaw Gang, but also but an end to their twisted sense of progress. They were going down.

As usual Nicholas and Topaz were out first. As soon as the two got outside the safe house, they were contacted by Aquamarine and Desmond. "Okay, so here's what we know," the vixen with glasses stated. "One, the enemy's ship is on its way to pick up a battery from Jean and Blade. And two, the only way we'll get a crack at it is by finding a way to sneak aboard that vehicle."
"But, before we do that, we'll need to tack care of the enemy here," said Nicholas. "Time is short, and we've got a lot to accomplish." It had taken the group several days to make it to this place. A couple had been spent resting after the last mission. So there wasn't much of it left.
"True, true…" Desmond commented. "But first things first, this lumber camp isn't on any of our maps. We need you and Topaz to poke around and take some recon photos, they'll help to get our sensors oriented."
"Like no problem," the blond vixen replied. "We've so got this."
"In anticipation of the icy climate, we had Slappy modify some of our equipment," said Aquamarine. "Our boots and some of the weapons are now able to allow us to ice climb."
With that Nicholas and Topaz were off and saw they could ice climb easily. The first picture on some saw blades revealed this camp had been around for quite awhile. The house of Jean was also taken along with a pic of a boat. Then it was to a lighthouse nearby and find a way in. Luckily there was a vent to craw under to get in. The foxes after crawling found themselves at the bottom. And there was Jean and Felix, talking to each other. First it was to take a pic of a spinner, a battery charger, and the front door which was locked. Then it was time for a pic of the enemy. "That should do it," the vixen whispered.
"What, I think I can hear them," the vulpine stated softly. "Let's listen."
"Come on Jean," the bison stated. "Ya got it in ya. Those lumberjack games need some more competition, eh?"
"I'm right next to you and can hear you," the rhino commented. "If you want these games fine, just make sure you don't fuck up on your end of the plan."
"Yeah, yeah. Now what would attract participants?"
"Perhaps some of those gems we found in the caves nearby?"
"Bullseye!" Jean commented. "That'll do it! …Although who're we kidding, eh? I'm-a-gonna win just like every other year. Ha! Oh it's tough being this tough, it sure is, yeah." After that, it was the cue for Nicholas and Topaz to head back to the others to talk about this.
They quickly made it and everyone was gathered around to listen. "Well guys, the enemy has annoyingly thrown down the gauntlet," Nicholas stated. "It seems the only way to get at them is by participating in Jean's lumberjack games. Fortunately, due to frequent avalanches, a log chopping guide was frozen in a wall of ice not too far from our position. So me and Topaz's job will be acquiring the book. I'm sure it will be invaluable."
"Now we're all aware that the enemy's ship is coming to pick up another battery," Aquamarine continued. "To sneak aboard without incident, I'd recommend we pull a Trojan Horse and stow away inside the battery. However, the location of the device is still a mystery. We need some inside information. So working together, Jade, Paul, Ruby, and Stanley will infiltrate the moose guard secret RC combat club. Those guys all work at the lighthouse. If you win the battle, I'm sure they'll talk."
"Despite his antique mind, Jean's no fool," Desmond concluded. "To keep tabs on him, we'll need to bug his house. We'll need Sapphire and Kane to take these radio collars I made and jam them into his sensory array. It's a challenging set of tasks, and that ship's on it's way. Let's get to work!"
(Inside the mill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mO9duWDeoQ0 )
The Arctic fox and her boyfriend went out first. They had six of the collars ready for action. They had to be put in precise locations around the area. These had been marked for the two so it was easy to find and even more so to place them in the right areas. But when the second one was placed, an announcement came on. "Prep yer ears up boys!" went the voice of Jean. "I'm gonna tell y'all the tallies from last month! The blue logger team managed to clear a 128 acres of forest! Not bad considering they had to kill all them wild life eh? But now, the gold lumber jack team; bless their hearts, them boys chopped down 211 acres! Y'all hear that?! 211 acres of progress! Almost brings a tear to my eye when I think about what that means! Keep up with them work fellers! Not long now till we've earned a vacation!"
"Despicable," Sapphire commented after that was over. "He needs to go down."
"I agree hon, but let's focus on our job," Kane stated. They managed to get the rest of the radio collars in position. Now it was time for Topaz and Nicholas to get to work. They snuck into the mill itself by a hatch.
"So how is this like part of getting that guide?" the vixen asked.
"There's an industrial laser in here," the vulpine explained. "Normally it's used to cut through petrified logs. If it could be bounced out that window right by us, we can use its energy to melt the ice wall. There's a witch on the other side that will reposition the laser. Once that's done, we'll head outside."
The two began to make their way forward, jumping onto small areas, and avoiding the security. But at a certain point, another announcement came on but this time it was from Blade. "Attention all working in the saw mill. Make sure you keep a good watch! Some prowlers have been spotted! We can't have anyone messing things up. Particularly that laser saw! It's a one of a kind item that Jean needs for the trees further up the mountain. He'd be pretty pissed if something were to happen to it."
The two foxes then continued and were able to redirect the laser. They made it outside and with crystals that the vulpine had brought, were able to direct the beam towards the area where the book was. They got it and it was time for the group of four to move. Ruby and Stanley made sure to kiss Rachel goodbye before heading out with Jade and Paul. There was only one hitch, the guards weren't going to let any of them in unless they were in disguise. Since the husband could sound close enough to them it would be Stanley's job to actually compete. "I think i can see a moose head up there," Jade stated. "Me and Paul will get if for you."
The petite vixen and her boyfriend had to sneak past the guards and the security to get at it but they managed to do so. It took a bit of work, but they got it. With the head on the other vulpine, he made his way over to the guards. It took some maneuvering and was able to win and learn the location of the battery. Now it was onto the next phase.
