E34's final progress...
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
And another car photo, haha.
This is the final state of my 1995 BMW 540i before I use it to cross a good chunk of the United States for my impending move. The car has seen a massive amount of work over the last year I've owned it, and my last estimate has been more than a few times what the car is worth has been put into it. However, for 206,000 miles it has only three mechanical defects: the cruise control actuator needs to be replaced, a door lock actuator in the front passenger door needs to be replaced, and the shop that's been doing all the work goofed on one of the valve cover gaskets, creating a pretty nasty leak that will be taken care of when I light a fire under their tails to get it done, grrrr...
Among the nicer bits are a full set of Bilstein sport shocks to compliment the factory sports suspension, a new clutch, and the 18" M-Parallel replica wheels with Continental ExtremeContact Z-rated performance tires with little wear on them. I know I shouldn't be bragging about this, but the car is glass smooth... 170km/h seems like 130km/h, seriously. :D

Well, it's a BMW, I'm not surprised. :D
I can't say it's been a very easy journey to get the beast to this point, but I'm certain it's good to go for at least another 100K after all the work put into it. I'll keep my fingers crossed, hehe.
