Gone For A Float
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
Layla Harris was always following in the footsteps of her sister to become a brave and independent young lady, but she never said she wanted to stop making friends. Just a few weeks ago, her mother's new business partner came over to talk shop, bringing with her, her 9-year-old son, Werner Von Clog; a tenacious Doberman boy. At first, Werner was a little judgemental of Layla, thinking she would be a stereotypical girly-girl. Oh, but Layla soon proved him wrong by showing him her love of exploring, swimming, and making cool experiments with water, glue, and random bits. The two of them really hit it off from there and became fast friends.
In this scenario, it's late June and Werner's gotten permission to spend the weekend with his best friend, Layla. And what better way for the pups to beat the heat than to go for a float in Layla's backyard pond? If only for just an hour or two, there is only the two of them. Two best friends just drifting aimlessly in the pond enjoying each others company in a wonderful friendship that may just the start of a blossoming romance.
Artist's note: The inner tube was a job to get right, but for a first time, I think it came out decently well.
