Night draws the warmth away

Leaving those beneath to sway

Music softly floating upon the breeze

Bodies as one dance upon a play

Every voice is unique if only to listen

To hear the words they speak from within glisten

A beautiful melody if only to beckon

Sorrow so deep it wretches tears from their prison

In the stillness of the fullest bloom

There lies a single rose for a groom

Never once able to pass it along

For his song is lost midst the gloom

To follow passion is to walk alone

To live for love is a fools bone

Stars alight above

Only to shine upon the cone

To this end the time has come to soar

To leave alone those dreams of lost lore

To embrace the life alone we tread

To love never more

Never more shall the wind caress

Never more shall the ocean confess

Never again to hear the beauty of all

Instead remain within an eternal mess
