Shereen was born in the southern empire, close to the border to Amandira. There are only a few Maa'Esh that live outside of the Amandira desert and Shereen's parents were two of them. Shereen had a peaceful and safe childhood. While her father served in the towns guard, her mother had been making a living of selling ancient writing tablets. That way, Shereen has always confronted with the past and she very quickly learned to read several of the old scripts. One thing was even more influential to her: At an early age, she noticed that there were boys and girls and she always saw herself as one of the latter. But then again, she additionally had everything that made the former. This confused her and made her afraid of showing herself, thinking of herself as of something weird and abnormal. Still, she went on to live her life. She attended the local school and then the next imperial university where she graduated as one of the best students of history. Still, she found it difficult to find friends and while she adored a number of men over the years, never dared to engage into any relationship due to risking being found out. And that even though she had grown to quite a beauty. Only later, when she had returned to the land of her ancestors, the Amandira desert, she learned that there was nothing she had to feel awkward for and that she could enjoy being with men as well as with women quite a lot. She also learned to enjoy her time in a royal harem and grw to be more confident with her body.
Still, Shereen is sometimes coy, even shy and likes to leave the initiative to others. That changes only when it comes to her passion: History and the remains of what once was.
