Maja'zhen Njantat
Title can't be empty.
Title can't be empty.
From my Daggers of Darkness sci-fi novel series
Here's Maja'zhen Njantat (pronounced: MAH-Yia' zhen Nyian-tat) who will be appearing in the story at some point. I don't have her character sheet filled out yet, though age-wise, I'm going to say that she's likely in her mid 30s or so.
After making the initial pencil outline sketch on paper and scanning it at 600 dpi, I used Corel Paintshop Pro 2022, Corel Painter 2022, and Windows Paint to do the digital painting. The image posted here is greatly sized down from the original, which is 11,808 x 18,003 pixels or 20" x 30" at 600 dpi for the full-sized print (SF limits to 2,280 pixels, so some detail will necessarily be lost in this view). If anyone ever wants prints of my work on archival quality photo paper, PM me for details, they're not terribly expensive. :)

I just finished work on redoing a character portrait from 2017 that was done in colored pencils and ink as a digitally-painted rendition.

Now, back to writing...
