The Society of Mother Studies Scholars, Artists and Individuals. We are an organization promoting scholars and scholarship about mothers, motherhood, and mothering inclusive of all reproductive identities. The society is open to those who are researching, studying, writing, and teaching or making art about these topics. Together we gather to increase and promote visibility as well as diversity within the discipline. Though we are focused primarily on m/others and motherhood, we welcome all those studying reproductive identity, language, ethics and care including fatherhood, nonbinary parenthood, and families.

The Society of Mother Studies aims to increase the visibility of these emerging fields.
