Snippets is a handy utility designed to enable you to take notes by the press of a key. It provides you with a non-distractive interface to take hold of your thoughts without interfering with your work. Plus it finally puts the caps Lock key to a proper use.
The idea is to assign the input interface to a rarely used key, which for most of us would be caps lock. Since every keystroke puts you at risk of getting distracted, there are no special commands required to write and save your note.
Just activate the input field. Remember? Caps lock. Write. And finish by pressing caps lock again. Your entry is automatically stored and can be exported later when you can be bothered to do this.
