The Conference
The programme for SGT27 is currently under research and development, being designed with the research input of 100+ utility leaders, managers and technical experts, to ensure that only the most timely and mission critical issues are addressed.
The 3-day programme will be organised into a one-day strategic plenary session where utility leaders share their vision for the long term, and a two-day technical conference, where utility managers and technical experts share insights into the innovation and implementation projects they are driving to transform the power system.
The 8-Track Technical Conference includes:
- Substation Virtualization
- OT Cybersecurity
- SCADA & Control Room
- Big Data Analytics
- Smart Metering
- DER Integration
- Utility Connectivity
- IEC 61850
Successes, setbacks and future roadmaps will be shared, providing the community with clear insights into power sector strategic direction, in order to establish ecosystem cohesion, and support sound infrastructure investment decisions.
The Exhibition
Running alongside the 3-day conference is a focused display of the most leading-edge power system products and services to support system transformation. Both established suppliers and innovative niche players and startups showcase their solutions and expertise through a variety of activities including:
- Displaying in the exhibition room
- Running 1:1 live demo labs in private meeting rooms
- Holding lunchtime technical workshops
- Innovation focused thought leadership on the conference
- Implementation focused case-studies on the conference
- Problem solving roundtables during monthly meetups
The Awards
Taking place the evening of conference day one (Tuesday 16th March 2027) the SGT27 Utility Innovation Excellence Awards provide the opportunity for the community to recognise, reward and celebrate innovation excellence through projects that are making a massive impact and achieving outstanding results in the sector.
Both utilities and suppliers are invited to submit entries focused on utility projects that align with one or more tracks of the technical conference, by close of day Friday 26th February 2027.
Our panel of 10 judges review each submission, and the winners are announced during the prestigious SGT27 Awards Ceremony on Tuesday 16th March 2027.
The Roundtable Sessions
Taking place the evening of conference day two (Wednesday 17th March 2027) this technical roundtable session provides a peer-to-peer forum for brainstorming, problem solving and networking around the domain specific issues that arise out of the day’s technical presentations.
A great opportunity for you to bring your real-life grid transformation problems to the table, and benefit from the insights and guidance of a diver range of representatives from across the European power community. 60-min of facilitated discussions around 12-15 roundtables are followed by 60-min of summaries from each table leader to the wider group.
Food and drink will be served throughout to keep the energy levels high and the conversation flowing.
Communication Training
Whether you have been tasked with collaborating more extensively with external partners, driving a complex change project internally, or pitching for more resource and investment, you must turn the technical details of your requirement into organisational benefits through language that communicates with clarity and conviction and lands well with leadership, first time.
At SGT27 we provide bite-size communication training during the morning refreshment breaks to help technical experts, managers and leaders alike, convey their message to a range of stakeholders with influence, impact and authenticity.
Come armed with your most challenging communication dilemmas and leave with a calm knowing and confidence, that enables you to unlock your most precise, influential and authentic communication flow, in any high-stakes situation.
