Water Is Life!

March 22 is World Water Day – a day to recognize the importance of freshwater and the need for action on the ongoing global water crisis. Our Blue Community Schools project with the Council of Canadians teaches students about water protection and the human right to water. Check out these resources for teachers, youth and parents to learn more about how you can support a water secure future for all.

Our Mission

Small Change Fund acts as a catalyst for individuals and grassroots
organizations to improve the environment, reduce poverty, and
promote reconciliation efforts by working with Indigenous Peoples
to support the protection of their lands, waters and communities. We stand with those on the ground, recognizing that the people closest to the challenges are often the ones with the knowledge and solutions to create lasting change.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Sustainable, Attainable Housing Community for Owen Sound

We are working with Glassworks Cooperative to develop an accessible and sustainable neighbourhood in Owen Sound. With a net-zero design, community gardens and low-income designated housing, this neighbourhood will be a model of community resilience and sustainable development. The project is currently in the pre-development stage – we can’t wait to see it come to life.
