I am so done with that thing...well, minus corrections, but really, I want to go do some math or something that isn't writing.

So I'm in the final bits of my thesis, making graphics and charts and whatnots. Unfortunately, my formal training is all in inDesign, so I'm making dirty pic augmentations with a cross of inDesign exporting jpg/photogphop/paint/excel goodness reserved for the most desperate of graphics designers. I'm quite sure though that if anyone from the profession actually watched me make one of these things, they would cry.

So we had our third bomb threat today! This one was all of 2 hours and in the Student Health Center. Yesterday Flowers Hall was closed for about 3 hours, due to something vague written on a bathroom stall. I wonder if tomorrow there will be one in ASB, because I don't want to go to Geology. The irony here lies in that if these were actual bomb threats, they would probably evacuate the surrounding buildings. Just a thought.

Off that, I passed my yoga and running finals! Yay!
and I'm pretty sure I'm getting an A in honors philo.
Ooo plus, there's fun stuff up for the next few days:
Friday: honors party
Saturday: teach inner city kids how to fish with my dad's hunting club
Sunday: Thecial matter, and dinner with Amber D. and her posh English friends

So other than the usual sunshine and roses going by in a blur as I careene down the last semester hill, everything else seems to be stagnant. Not in a Hot Topic wearing emo kid from suburbia's 'oh woh is me mine black nail paint must dry post haste so that I may procure yonder family mini van for tonight's skate park escapade' mind you. I'm speaking of the stagnant feeling of a bit of sediment that has just been cut down to size by a glacier and now sits at the side of a meandering stream waiting for a torrential downpour so it can move again.
I think I'm going to go apply for more jobs, and look into yoga teacher training.

So after zonking out from 6:30 pm to 4ish am, I checked the school Web site to see the following. I guess we're all going to be on hyper ultra alert after the VT thing, but honestly, until 6 am? AM? 1. who is awake, and 2.who checks the school site before they leave the dorm in the evening.

University closed until 6 a.m.
University and San Marcos Police are investigating a bomb threat received at Texas State University early in the morning of Friday, April 20.

Students, faculty and staff are asked not to come to campus until after 6 a.m. on Friday. Those on campus are asked to stay in thier residence halls or places of business until after 6 a.m.

Further information will be be provided as it becomes available.

so for the next few days I feel as though I'll need an adaurl prescription. The next round of exam grades determine whether or not I owe $15,000. I give my thesis presentation tomorrow. I graduate. My thesis must be complete. I have other projects due. I have to find a professional job.
and I am strangely zen with all of it. Why is it that when you hit a certain stress point, everything seems to be so far away? Like, I'm getting everything done, but I'm not freaking out.

Edit: side effects include vacant or blank, catatonic like trances; slower speech, loss of will to sleep, inability to blink.

My thesis is so wonderful.
It has me writing things from the purly economic stand point of the oil industry, so for my environmental section, I basically say that saving baby seals from oil slicks takes away precious dollars that could be going to mining the Alaskan tundra.
Because the world needs to have a dependable supply of oil, that's why.
I think I'm going to go donate to Greenpeace...

oh my, there's this professor in the biology department who takes her new born everywhere. She is the cutest thing ever, and the professor just goes about the day holding a baby. I'm almost sure she teaches class with her in hand.

so I was at a club with my girlfriends tonight, and got burnt by a cigarette! It hurts so bad for something so small.
meanwhile, I'm making progress on my thesis, and am doing laundry
