Yesterday inlcuded a trip to the dentist, where they performed a partial root canal to extract the dead issue from my tooth. The massive amounts of listerine I used actually killed most of my tastebuds, but my sense of taste is starting (slowly) to return.

I'm on antibiotics to take out the infection, as well as some painkillers to control any lingering pain while the infection clears up. The drugs mean I'm dizzy and disoriented a lot of the time, and I have a tendency to become distracted easily. Once I get going today, I'm gonna have to head to campus and get my bike, since I was too out of it to try walking it home on Wednedsay night.

Right now, though, I'm more or less out of pain, which is the main thing.

Come September, I'll have to get the rest of the root canal performed and the crown put on.

Still, right now, I'm just grateful to be functioning.

Things are good, though I can't begin to tell you how exhausted I am right now. It's literally had to move I'm so exhausted, and keeping my eyes open is a trial. I'm not sure why I'm so worn down — I think maybe spending a few hours at the office surrounded by loud, boisterous people, wore me out. Sometimes people just make me tired.

My bike got a flat, which was irritating — but Mike fixed it for me on Thursday, so I've got wheels again. Boys with bike grease all over their hands and forearms: more attractive than they have any right to be.

Press day on Wednesday should be short, my section's only two pages. I got a second monitor at the office, finally got my desk all set up to accomodate it. It's fucking glorious, I can't even put it into words.

6:45AM, about five hours from home. switching drivers in jasper, i'm half-conscious. got an e-mail from david saying, basically, that both the pieces i did during reading week were good. go me! i'll go back to sleep when the bus starts moving.

as exhausted as i am, there's something really awesome about being on the road.

i was going to do another femme post, and then maybe something on feminism, but i am so fucking exhausted i don't have words for it. i'm more or less dead on my feet. just got out of the shower, going to find some PJs and brush my teeth and then collapse into bed. i'm not setting my alarm in the hopes that i will sleep in.

i'm in my last class, with 40 minutes to go. i'm fucking exhausted. 8:50pm.

i've more or less been constantly working since i got to campus around 11am, doing homework in my grace periods. trying to drink sprite to get some sugar, but it tastes kind of gross for some reason. flat or something.

i did come up with a rollerderby name if i do get around to trying it out: malice in wasteland. i'm just trying to decide if it's too close to the character in the novel version of whip it, malice in wonderland. i might just do alice in wasteland, i don't know. thinking, thinking.

thirty minutes to go.

omfg i want sleep.
