The registration is only for the unique assignment to your avatar. The credentials consist of your name and a pin. SL Connect is not a Second Life client and never asks for your Second Life credentials. The use of the app remains free of charge.

SL Connect creates a connection between Second Life and your smartphone. So you can see on the app where the action is in Second Life, or observe your own region. To publish a region you need to buy a SL Connect license at Marketplace:
