You should be. You did great work with everything this update. Looking forward too Jolt, Flare, and eventually Arcanine (As a partner, or Encounter). Good luck with the Ui updates.
I'll likely hover around the suggestions thread too see what other mons get chattered about til the next update.

Be fair I wanted too be cheeky, and not suggest the typical 'healer' mons.
Combat Note:
I did play through the last three characters. And I can confirm Only Rata, Really suffers at the start if on Medium, or Hard... Maybe Arbok as a close second. So yeah, the rat, and the snake (maybe) need a lil boost stat wise.
Completely on the side, Lopunny is a bit unhinged with the turns she can give herself, jeeeez...
Thank you for taking time too read over my comments and reply back. By the by I've been playing the game using Opera. I don't think anything game breaking has occurred for Any release so far in my time playing.
Combat note:
I still need too play through the other three characters again with this update. But I doubt anyone will feel as rough as Rata's start. If someone feels a bit too weak, I'll tack a reply onto this one.
Peanut Gallery 2: Electric Boogaloo
Item Shop: 'Tism' Warning
This one I'll answer in parts.
What all could they sell? Heals, Status restores, and Move restores. The basics. Next is Stat boosters, temporary, or permanent for helping with early battles.
The third category, trinkets/ gifts. Figure out what your opponent would love too be surprised with. Skip the fight, get the exp, and go on a short date. I saw a comment, or two about interacting more with the Encountered mons, or trying too recruit them. Maybe as in between this would be better? Get the normal reward, and a few images with said lass. Images, and writing being influenced by them being at 50, 100, and 150.
Example: Delphox, and Meowscarada could enjoy occult/ magic items.
Shop/ Shop owner:
When you asked who'll run the shop, my head locked in on a Ninetales (Weight/ Breast) with a manor she operates out of. Course whose too say she wouldn't have help. Give her a Machoke (Muscle), and Meowth/ Persian (Ass) assistants that you could trade with and level... And date all three.
Companions:
Not gonna lie, more than a lil awesome hearing Arcanine is planned for the player's roster early, or as an Encountered mon. If Mewtwo is a boss character... Then I'd swap my suggestion with Kadabra/ Alakazam (Breast/ Ass). Far as I recall none of the gals fit the 'Mystic' trope yet.
Vs. Arceus:
I didn't know bosses were planned. If the gauntlet was put in then, it and those rewards would be best as the final challenge then. Idea is that Dynamax would just let you Bm other challenges you've beaten as a final reward, and farm exp for items/ trinkets with ease. Lastly, if spamming ultimate moves is too much, maybe Crazy boost a mon's stats like she's lvl. 300 (Or lower)?
Okaaay Ted talk is done. Thank you for humoring me. I'm already eager too see what's next for this game. Take care of yourself.
Been following since it was just Eevee as your partner. This is Still one of my favorite games too see getting updates (Especially Free). Very much appreciate all the work you're still putting in. Do take a breather though, burn-out is a killer.
Now too gab about the update:
New Images for the Og Companions, and New Encounter Mons, Just excellent. I'm not even much for Muscle growth, and you nailed it well I feel. And I'm looking forward too our starting mons getting their new story images, and buffs eventually.
Current battle system (Only played the first six, and Vaporeon): Man Charizard has it easy. One level of Berserker, Dragonic Roar, and The Finisher and down goes a lot of the 'Hard' fights very quickly at the start. You can just snowball her from 5-150 if you want by just staying at level 5. Whereas can we get Ratatta a heal or lifesteal? She took the longest too start consistently winning on Medium, or Hard fights after grinding on Easy for a small while.
Long Peanut gallery suggestions here. Sorry if I'm repeating any ideas here (I'm wanting too use Discord less, So I'm not in the group).
Item Shop:
Do hope if, and only if, you find time too add an Item Shop system it gives us a place too spend the excess Exp for heals, restores, and maybe Permanent stat boosts (Fat, Milk Regen, or natural Hp regen) too make leveling up everyone else easier. Though capping the boosts at +10/ 10% should keep keep things from getting too wild? Make the shop keep level up as we spend too keep in theme.
Companion suggestions:
If you want too keep too the Gen 1 set. Mewtwo (Breast/ Ass), Lapras (Belly), Arcanine (Voluptuous), and I wanna say Mew (Ass), or any number of the Legendary Birds.
If we're pulling from Anywhere. Hisuian Typhlosion (Belly), Mega Lucario Z (Thigh/ Ass), Froslass (Breast), Milotic... (Logic says Thigh/ Ass, and smartass wants too say Weigh gain), and the rest of the Eevee line.
Vs. Arceus
A five round gauntlet against the Goddess whose using a random growth path. Beat her, and your Partner can Dynamax once per fight (From the Item tab) for six turns any battle after. Letting them spam their Ultimates (rather than worry about new moves). And With a image too go with that would have their Trainer/ Master sitting somewhere on their body.
Alright, I'm actually done Jabbering. Thank you for this game, it's images and writing. Can't wait too see more.
When you do feel you've finished it, I do hope you put out $10-$20 option that includes all the prototype renders and images you made while developing.
Character and Weapon thoughts.
This is a rough listing of which characters, and which weapons I think combo well as of Alpha 0.654. Having played through with all chars on one path from level 1 to 54 a few times before and after this update going live I have a few thoughts. All of this is my OPINION, play the game how you want.
Fox: The Allrounder
Almost any weapon on any path except a certain three. Even after the MP nerf she can abuse any weapon skill often and has the damage stats too make any 'basic weapon' perform well, and the rare weapons particularly lethal in her hands.
Cow: Spellcaster, or Cleric
With her less than stellar physical stats, she does her best with either the Spellbook, Steel Shield, or Spiked Club with their Max MP/ HP based attacks/ skills.
Wolf & Shark: The Brawlers
Given that both characters currently have identical stat lines on most of their paths (Time of writing, FMG run isn't 'complete'), they'll be lumped together. With their lower MP pools they both thrive using basic weapons with cheaper skills. Of course Wolf's Alpha Roar does make any power strike weapon skills plenty able too maul most enemies once you have the MP too use them both.
We return with another soapbox!!!
General
This most recent set of updates has put a lot of my prior whining too bed. The new weapons, and items have been a great addition in helping the roster that lack of direct damage skills/ low casting count (Cow, Wolf), or with the exp grind (Danger Fish/ Lucky Fish stacking). More on that later.
The latest inventory, and UI update is just about perfect. Much easier too apply the buffs without waste thanks too the new buttons. I can't wait for the battle/ travel/ dialogue menus too get something similar when time permits for their UI update.
Battle, Weapons, and the GRIND!!! (It's now Later.)
With the addition of the weapons, their skills, and the changes too opponents having specials makes battles more engaging, and taking that moment too buff your team prior much more rewarding as well... and annoying when the poison/ bleed debuff snatches victory away (Thems the breaks). The weapons themselves have a great variety too them so far, I can't wait too see what else is added too the equipment side of things. I'll be throwing a reply post of who goes best with what in my OPINION so far.
All together, the weapons, items, and proper item UI changes help reduce the grind from 1 to 50 considerably. If you're willing too do a 'Little' fishing. In the case you're releveling another path on an older save this is especially true. Add on that grinding for the basic weapons wasn't all that time consuming, but I've hade little luck for the rarer drops. Still a great update too the battles. **Check The Bottom**
Battle Suggestions
As an aside, I do hope Bosses like Luna get a sizable cool down on how often they can use Stuns/ Disables. Especially if keeping Stun Immunity, or debuff cleansing is a constant boss perk from here out.
For an outright suggestion I think a certain battle option has been missing. Guard should be a built in everyone battle option like Attack/ Skills without a weapon needed. 15%-30% damage reduction based off the current path, while gaining 10-15 MP back, or higher dodge chance. Would suggest changing the Steel Shield's Guard too something like Blocking Stance, reduces incoming damage (45%?) for three turns and a four turn cool down.
Story Beats
We got a pretty good start from what the quests lay out for us so far. I very much agree with Jaxonus in hoping we get a bit more interactions with the party we're recruiting. Small bits of flavor text like a gal on the FMG path breaking a doorframe accidentally, or someone on BE/ WG causing a comical chain reaction by bumping something, or someone being prompted occasionally when sleeping at home.
Speaking of paths, I am happy too see them all get a new 'level' at fifty. And I look forward to there being more if that's in the works.
I don't think this qualifies as a bug, or a suggestion entirely, but I would like to 'Rechallenge' the Prologue boss. If only so she can be properly added too the bestiary if you've already seen/ played it before bestiary was added. She's just blacked out on Older saves like my main file. (Unless that's on purpose...)
All in all keep it up. These updates have been fantastic for the QoL, and game feel, can't wait too see what 0.7 brings (If it's in the works already.)
**Weapon Drop Manipulation Read/ Use at your own discretion**
Given the Quick Save feature present in the game's system currently. You can keep rerolling for rare rewards like the Moon Katana, or Verdant Greatsword. You just make a QS during a party member's attack dialogue box that's the final hit of the fight. Then you keep reloading until the weapon drops in the rewards screen. I am positive that changes will be made too prevent this exploit in later updates, for now if you want a weapon badly but have less than ideal luck, feel free too use. If you want too be 'less' cheesy. You can just quick save at the start of the fight and grind out the fight that way as well.
Hey there, been enjoying the development of this little game so far. There's likely better spots too yap, but I'm meh around crowds so I'll soapbox SOME of my overly thought out suggestions here. If the Discord/ Patreon have already tossed these out, feel free too pass.
Battle Qol
The start of the game, fights are slugfests. It'll help that a character's starting skill is always usable. I suggest raising base MP, or reducing the costs of those skills.
Also, please give the Cow a 'Hoof Stomp' as her first skill, or something similar. Have it be either flat higher damage move, or damage and debuff that drains enemy attack power. Something besides JUST basic attacks too deal damage, and help her early game feel.
Side whining on skills. I don't agree with limited uses, except the 'growth path' based ones. Clearly there's more skills in the works, and I don't know the length of the planned late game combat. If there are more enemies like the Wolf boss, and have multiple stages. I'd suggest a costly item from the shop that restores all uses (Energy?) for the character skills at least.
Exp Grind/ Enemy Growth
Have felt the 'slow down' spots in leveling everyone else has noted. Maybe a 'Rank Up' Item for Each zone/ area an NPC sells that upgrades the enemies by at least ten, and gives them a visual upgrade and scaled up rewards too match. Have 5-10 growth stages(?), and upgrades the NPC's appearance too. Have the basic enemies cap at 100, if 100 stays the player cap. Also would mean players have choice too stay in a favorite spot/ enemies too farm.
Have the same NPCs sell/ trade for an 'Elite' version of said item for Special/ Bosses, or have it drop as a rare reward from random encounters/ mob fights that I've seen suggested/ battles with said bosses. 110 as their cap, possibly 5 stages of growth.
There could be character quests tied beating X amount of boosted enemies.
Characters/ Zones
Tying into the 'Rank Up item' suggestion. The Alley could give a Rat/ Mouse, or Cat character. The Forest offer up a Doe, or maybe a Bear.
As for new zones. Where's the Swamp? With a Gator, or Snake. A Mountain zone with maybe a Goat, or Bird of Prey (Hawk/ Falcon??). Mystic/ Magic realm, Dragon, or Unicorn. Desert home too a Jackal, or Scarab.
Growth Type/ Stages
For new paths can only think of Ass Expansion, or Hourglass.
Right now all chars cap on images at 45. Other than wanting at least one more stage for level 50 in general. I personally would be fine with every ten levels after 50 being a new growth stage too lessen the work/ or keep the characters from reaching silly sizes. If the plan IS for more stages for every five levels from 45 up... I won't be sad about that either.
Expanded Gallery
Yes Please.
That's my Ted Talk. Thanks for reading the ramblings... Oh can we get a Doe Shaman/ Druid enemy for a WG/AE path in the forest, please?
